‘Twilight’ Co-Star Christopher Heyerdahl Joins HBO’s ‘True Blood’ As Recurring

EXCLUSIVE: Christopher Heyerdahl, who plays an ancient vampire in the Twilight Saga movies, will now play one in another screen adaptation of a popular book series — this time on TV. Heyerdahl is joining HBO’s hit vampire drama True Blood in a recurring role. He will portray Dieter Braun, an ancient, powerful vampire who plays a large part in the intelligence of the Authority and especially enjoys enhanced interrogation. That is familiar territory for Sanctuary alum Heyerdahl, who played the ancient Volturi vampire Marcus in three of the Twilight movies: New Moon, Breaking Dawn Part 1 and the upcoming Part 2 (photo on left). Additionally, he played a demon in an arc on the CW’s Supernatural. Heyerdahl, repped by Open Entertainment’s Lesa Kirk, currently co-stars on the AMC drama series Hell On Wheels playing Norwegian badass The Swede. The period Western was recently renewed for a second season.

Friedman, Wachsberger to lead Lionsgate motion picture group

The contracts have been signed and Summit chiefs Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger have been named co-chairs of Lionsgate Motion Pictures Group in the wake of last week’s merger.


The executives will oversee all aspects of domestic and international acquisition, production and distribution as well as home entertainment operations.
Motion picture film group president Joe Drake will stay on through the release of The Hunger Games (pictured), a crucial potential franchise for Lionsgate that is scheduled to open in North America on Mar 23.

Few Options Trailer added to Gallery and US DVD release

Few Options is a film that features a small cameo of Michael Sheen as a florist. The film centres around ex-con Frank Connor (Kenny Johnson – Sons of Anarchy), who is fresh out of prison and trying to stayout of trouble.
It had a small US theatrical release last summer, but so far, I have not heard of any plans for a UK release. It is being released in the US on DVD on 24 January. You can pre-order it on DVD from Amazon.com.  It is not available on Amazon.co.uk at this time.

Charlie Bewley made his major motion picture debut as the Volturi ‘Demitri’ in ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ and also stars in the remaining films in the saga including the upcoming Eclipse part 2. Charlie has the lead role in the upcoming film ‘Ecstasy’.
